EAPO strengthens cooperation with CNIPA

The 14th China Intellectual Property Annual Conference (CIPAC 2025) was held in Beijing on September 11–12. The conference named “IP in the Digital Age” was dedicated to IP protection and strategies, laws and regulations, and IP information services in the digital era.

Within the event, Grigory Ivliev, the President of the Eurasian Patent Organization, had a meeting with Shen Changyu, the Commissioner of the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA).

The parties reached the following agreements during the meeting:

– to continue the working dialogue with the CNIPA’s experts and IT specialists online and offline;
– to establish cooperation between the Assembly of Eurasian Patent Attorneys and the All-China Patent Agents Association;
– to organize promo events in China in 2026 to develop the interest in the Eurasian patent system;
– to provide mutual support in extension of powers as International Authorities under the PCT.
